Don't Get Stuck Living Someone Else's Passion

Do not take your time away from your passion to work on projects with people you don't work well with. Keep it simple stupid! If you don't work well with someone, why continue? Business is just like a relationship, if you don't work well with your girlfriend or boyfriend you are not going to marry them. So why would you continue to open up a business or work with them on a project. It's time to tell those people that you are not going to participate. If they take it personal then that is their problem.

At the end of the day our reputation is all we have. That is what defines us. Think about any NFL Quarterback, they can be the best athlete on the field, but if they don't have a receiver that they work well with, they will always be known as the Quarterback that never won. Take Joe Montana and Jerry Rice these two compliment each other very well and because of that they won Championships. Success is defined by your lack of failures. Choose wisely who you spend your time with.

Our Comic Con Summary

Twin 1 and his wife @MrsPeeden (on Twitter) went to Comic-Con, We have always wanted to go but never made it a priority during the year. However, since Twilight (Summit Entertainment) was going to be there it was a priority this year. @MrsPeeden loves the Twilight Saga. No one said that it would be a good idea to get there before it opens so that we did not have to sit in a huge line. We got there at around 9:30am and found our selves waiting in a line that went for about 3 miles. We ended up
waiting for about 2 hours in this line. Its hard to see but if you looked to the right of the picture you can see the line along the shore and that Hotel off in the distance is pretty much where we needed to go. So we finally got done with that line then we rushed over to the Hall H line, so that we could try to get into the Twilight (Summit Entertainment) Panel to see the cast and the New Moon stuff. Anyway we sat in this line for over an hour just to get to the front of the line and then the Comic Con people tell us they aren't letting anyone else into Hall H. The time is now around 2:30pm and we haven't achieved anything but standing in lines as if we were at Disneyland and then have the people tell us the ride was broken. lol. So we get into the Exhibit Hall and our Comic-Con experience finally gets started. We walked and walked and walked and took some cool pictures. Saw some movie stars promoting their shows/movies and charging 50-100 dollars for an autograph. That was kinda weird! But anyway, besides all the waiting in lines it was pretty awesome. Next year it is going to be a 4 day weekend for us. It is almost impossible to experience everything at Comic Con if you are only going for one day. So our advice make sure you plan this event for 4 days and get there early so that you can beat all the lines. See More Pictures

Your Passion Identifies You

Tonight we turned to ABC and watched the last 30 minutes of the special on J.k Rowling. Although we knew her story really well and identified her passion in a post earlier this year, it was a very inspiring show and a look into her life.

A question she got from the person interviewing her was, "how do you want to be remembered" and she said " As a person who did the best she could with the talent given to her." That got us thinking inside the box! We all have a talent that identifies us. Some of us identify that talent early in life and others when we are going through trouble times, but one way or another we all identify that talent some point in our lives and that is the point when you find yourself.

So when you find your talent/passion do the best you can with the passion the Trigeia Universe gave you. :)

A tragedy close to home

The news about Charles David Lewis Jr., the co-founder of Tapout, a multimillion-dollar clothing line. Ripped through our hearts and those in the community that we and Charles grew up in.

Charles David Lewis was a graduate of Bloomington High School, a school that many of our friends and my soon to be wife went to school.

After High School Lewis enlisted in the Marine Corps, then joined the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department before chasing a dream that would bring him wealth and fame.

He and his friends sold T-shirts at local gyms and events before founding the company in 1997.

Known as "Mask," Lewis often wore face paint as he and his business partners tore through the mixed-martial-arts industry.

Lewis has always been known as a man who encouraged others to pursue their dreams. In fact, we have been inspired by his story many times as we have faced obstacles while chasing our dream.

His story and his death hits even closer to home when we found out the news on our birthday March 11.

Good Girl Gone Superstar

Just four years ago, Rihanna was a 15 year old young girl living in the beautiful Barbados parish of Saint Michael. Performing in her musical trio with her two classmates. Her first connection to the music industry came when she met a vacationing music producer named Evan Rogers from New York City. After an impromptu performance for Evan, he was absolutely certain she would one day make history. Soon after, Evan and Rihanna traveled to the Big Apple in search of a record deal. It took just one meeting with Jay-Z for Rihanna to score her big break. Jay, who had just recently been appointed the President of Def Jam Records, was so taken by the young singer's arresting natural talent that he signed her to the legendary label on the spot.

With two successful albums under her belt in just two years, Rihanna dropped her third and most critically acclaimed LP, Good Girl Gone Bad in 2007. The album's first single, "Umbrella," was the undisputed number one pop song of the summer and dominated the pop, urban and crossover charts for eight weeks in the U.S. "Umbrella" was also the #1 single on the UK singles chart for eleven consecutive weeks and went on to win "Video of the Year" and "Monster Single of the Year" at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards.

After making an enormous impact on both the music and fashion worlds, Rihanna decided it was time to give back to the community that had given her such tremendous support from the beginning. In 2006, she created the non-profit organization, Believe, which is dedicated to providing medical services, school supplies and toys for children in need.

Rihanna's hunger for success and dedication to her passion has created space amongst the industries elite. This young and strong women will not let anyone get in the way of her pursuit. With all of the current issues she is facing, we hope her the best and pray she makes good choices as she pursues her future success within her passion.

Passion: Pursuit of Passion (happyness)

What would you do if you made good money and had a respectable job and then realize it is not what you wanted to do? Would you drop everything to accomplish your goals? Would you be content and forget about your dreams? Life is about choices, and the choices we make define who we are. Chris made a choice to become a stock broker and then made the choices to pursue his dream. This is not Superhero story. It is a story about a man that made a choice to not give up.

Chris Gardner was 26 years old when he decided that becoming a doctor was not what he wanted and his current marriage that he was in was not the match he needed to be successful. He then began a relationship with another woman and had his first child. Then again, Chris was not happy with his situation, he wanted more out of life, he was hungry to find his passion and decided to pursue it once he found it. This attitude caused another strain on his new relationship.

One day while at work as a sales representative Chris ran into a gentlemen that was getting out of his Ferrari, Chris stopped and asked the man what he did. He replied " I am a Stock Broker" and from that point on Chris did whatever it took to become a stockbroker. He was accepted into a trainee program. But on the day of his training, he found out that his hiring manager was fired, to make matters worse, Gardner's relationship with Jackie was falling apart. She accused him of beating her — an accusation that Gardner denies to this day — and left him, taking their son with her to the east coast. He was taken to jail and a judge ordered that he stay there, for ten days, as punishment for being unable to pay $1,200 in parking tickets.

10 days later right after he was released Chris walked into Dean Witter Reynolds and landed the training program for the firm. Chris took the trainee position and was only paid a thousand dollars a month stipend. In 1982 he received his license and was recruited by Bear Sterns. But, the struggle was just beginning, his child's mother returned and left his son with him and he had to move out of his living conditions because they did not allow children. For a year he and his child were homeless, that did not stop Chris from pursuing his dreams. He finally saved money for a rental house in Berkeley, California and the rest is history. In 1987 Chris started his own brokerage firm and in 2006 he sold it in a multi-million dollar deal.

Passion: The Recipe for 30 Minute Meals

"My life has been a total accident—a very happy, wonderful accident that I didn't and couldn't have planned."

How to make a Rachael Ray:

Rachael's Passion for food begun at an early age. Rachael Ray's family growing up owned several restaurants and managed several in New York as well. While she was in her early 20's Rachael moved to New York to take her bit out of the Big Apple. She landed several jobs that would give her plenty of experience in the food industry. Rachael did not want to make the Big Apple a long term stay so she moved back to Upstate New York. This plan worked out perfectly, from there she started managing pubs and restaurants which helped her land a job as a food buyer in Albany for a gourmet market. While she was at this job she saw a need to help people that were overwhelmed by cooking. So she started offering a 30 minute meal class to local customers. In a short amount of time the cooking class created a buzz and caught the eye of the local news channel and the news asked her to appear in a weekly segment for cooking. This, along with a public radio appearance and the publication of her first book, led to a Today show spot and her first Food Network contract in 2001 and the rest is history. Rachael has been the target for many critics who say that she is unqualified for teaching people how to cook because she has no formal training. That is very true, She has no formal training in cooking. Rachael is a true measure of the American Dream. She wins because of her desire to succeed when opportunity knocks.

Rachael Ray's story has inspired us all. More times than none, we think that people with great success have some type of magic potion. That is simply not the case. These people LOVE what they do and it is their passion. They work day in and day out pursuing their dreams. They are not driven by the thought of being rich, They are driven by pursuing their passion. Behind every instant success story is ten years of hard work.

Passion: The Comeback Kid

1991 Donald trump led his business to bankruptcy. In 1995, he combined his casino holdings into the publicly held Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts. On Wall Street in 1998 it had fallen into single digits as the company remained profitless and struggled to pay just the interest on its nearly $3 billion in debt. In 2004, Trump's individual ownership was reduced from 56 percent to 27 percent. Trump relinquished his CEO position but retained a role as Chairman of the Board. Hurdle after hurdle and Trump never said to himself "YOU'RE FIRED."

Donald Trump is the son of a wealthy real estate developer Fred Trump. Donald was strongly influenced by his father in his eventual goals to make a career in real estate development, and upon his graduation from Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1968, Donald Trump joined his father's company, The Trump Organization. From that point on Donald emerged himself in the company taking on several projects. Some of these projects would fail and some would be of great success but nevertheless "The Donald" kept working on his legacy.

Throughout the years he has turned his name into a International Brand, in every major city you will find some building with the name Trump on it. Do not be mistaken his company did not build all of these buildings. He's had many developers pay to market their properties and Donald Trump be the public face for their projects. According to Forbes, this portion of Trump's empire, is actually ran by his children, it is by far his most valuable with a valuation of $562 million.

In conclusion, Donald Trump is a master at building. He has built great structures all over the world and has successfully built an International Brand that bares his name. "Trump"

His love for his passion has created great success and great failures, but in the end it is what we do about those failures that define us.

Passion: The Definition of Passion - Leona Lewis !

Born in London Borough of Islington, to social worker parent Aural Josiah and Maria Lewis.

Leona Lewis was put through theater school very early at the age of five. At the age of six she decided that she wanted to be a singer. She went to school at Ambler Primary School in Finsbury park and also attended Sylvia Young Theatre. She was later enrolled in Italia Conti Academy and then BRIT School. There she learned Guitar and Piano and worked very hard to write her very own songs.

Leona wrote her first song at the age of 12. At the age of 13, she won the Lady D under-eighteen talent show at Hackney Empire. Although her focus and passion was music she would become a keen dancer and actor.

As a teenager Leona Lewis would go on to write and produce a number of songs including her demo album, Twilight which was never released. She also recorded a version of Minnie Riperton’s “Lovin You’ with music producer Marley J. Wills. Unable to secure a contract Leona Lewis took a number of jobs to pay to get into a recording studio, including waitressing at Pizza Hut and receptionist job at chiropody surgery in Stoke Newington High Street.

With no luck and her dream fading away, Leona considered placing her music career on hold to attend a University, before her finance Lou Al-Chamaa, that she has known since they were ten years of age persuaded her to enter X Factor.

Since winning she has been Nominated for three Grammy awards, Her second single, "Bleeding Love", was the biggest-selling single of 2007 in her home country, topped over thirty international singles charts including the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Mexico, the Republic of Ireland, France, Italy, Germany and Russia, and has since become the biggest selling single of the twenty-first century by a female, propelling Lewis to international fame.

Like Pablo Picasso, Leona Lewis begun her journey within her passion at a very early age.

Passion: Born an Artist

October 25, 1881 – April 8, 1973
Born in Malaga, Spain, Picasso's first word was pencil. Growing up with a father who himself was an Artist (Painter), Picasso was encouraged to learn the art. Beginning at the age of seven, Picasso was trained by his Father in figure drawing and oil painting. During this time Picasso's formal education suffered because of his passion for Art. For him his passion was so deep that nothing else mattered.

In 1891 Picasso and his Family moved to La Corun so his father could become a Professor at the School of Fine Arts. In 1895 after the death of Picasso's sister, they moved once again to Barcelona. This would mark the success of Picasso's career. With the move Picasso's Father transferred to the School of Fine arts and persuaded the officials at the academy to allow his son to take the entrance exam for the advanced class. This process usually takes students a month and Picasso did it in one week and of course was admitted in to the advanced class.

Picasso's formal education would suffer more as he attended Royal Academy of San Fernando, the foremost art school in the country, which led him to stop attending class soon after enrollment. Shortly after, Picasso traveled to Paris in 1900 (the art capital of Europe). He met his close friend and room mate who would teach him the language and literature. Sleeping in the day and working at night Picasso would perfect his skill with every piece of work.

In 1907 Picasso joined the art gallery that had recently been opened in Paris by Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler. Kahnweiler a German art historian, art collector who became one of the premier French art dealers of the 20th century. He became prominent in Paris beginning in 1907 for being among the first champions of Pablo Picasso.

During his life Picasso had a number of mistresses in addition to his wife. Picasso was married twice and had four children by three women.

Picasso spent his entire life in the arts and would never separate his life from his passion. It shows here that success and achievement is measured by how much time you invest in your passion.

“Everyone wants to understand art. Why don’t we try to understand the song of a bird? Why do we love the night, the flowers, everything around us, without trying to understand them? But in the case of a painting, people think they have to understand. If only they would realize above all that an artist works of necessity, that he himself is only an insignificant part of the world, and that no more importance should be attached to him than to plenty of other things which please us in the world though we can’t explain them; people who try to explain pictures are usually barking up the wrong tree.” - Picasso
