Passion: Olive Oyl to Super Model

Born July 20, 1980, Gisele Caroline Bündchen was raised in Horizontina, Rio Grande do Sul. While in school she was teased for being so skinny, kids in her class would call her Olive Olye. Like most Kids being teased she took the abuse but would someday have the last laugh.

When she was 13, at her mothers request she entered into a modeling course with her fraternal twin Patrícia and her sister Gabriela. Shortly after her enrollment she went to Sao Paulo to walk the city, during that time her and her friends sat down to eat and it was at that time her life would be changed forever.

Gisele Bundchen was discovered by a modeling agency and went on to be selected for a national contest but would place 2nd. She would then later place 4th in the world contest. In 1996 she moved to New York City to start her Modeling career beginning with "Fashion Week". Three years later she debuted on the cover of "Vogue Magazine". Since the start of her career she has been on over 7,000 magazines and now is bringing in an estimated 35 million dollars a year.

Gisele Bundchen's early interest and still hobby volleyball was once a large part of her life and at one time she was interested in becoming a professional volleyball player, playing for the Brazilian national team.
