Passion: The Man, The Myth and The Legend

Warren Buffet, He was ranked by Forbes as the richest man in the world during the first half of 2008, with an estimated net worth of $62.3 billion. Warren Buffett was born in Omaha, Nebraska on 30th August 1930, to Leila, (Stahl), and Howard Buffett. As the son of a local stockbroker, it is likely that he was exposed to markets at a very young age.

Warren Buffet has always had a niche for being a business man, at a 13 years old he rode a bike and delivered newspapers. As funny as it may seem he wrote off the bicycle on his taxes for a $35 deduction. While in high school he and a friend purchased a old pinball machine and placed it in a local barber shop and within a year he had a total of three pinball machines.

At the age of 20 Buffett applied for admission to Harvard Business School, but was turned down. This disappointment turned out to be one of the greatest things to ever happen to Buffet, because of that situation he decided to enrolled at Columbia Business School after learning that Benjamin Graham and David Dodd, two well-known securities analysts, taught there. Through out his early 20's Graham would become a large influence on his life and help mold Buffet into a power house business man.

Warren Buffet found his passion at a young age and throughout his life he has continued to pursue it. His pursuit did not start with how much money he could make or end with how much money he could make. His pursuit has been lead with the attitude of, do what you love and the money will come. This man has a great wealth of knowledge on how to turn passion into a successful venture.
