Passion: Lightning Bolt Strikes Again !

The Jamaican Lightning Bolt struck to his second world record and his second Olympic gold medal, finishing the 200-meter race in 19.30 seconds to break Michael Johnson's 12-year-old mark. He became the first Olympian ever to break the world record in both the 100 and 200 at the same Olympics and the first since Carl Lewis in 1984 to win the sprint double.

An athlete that was encouraged to try track and field during his childhood has done what they said was impossible. This is proof, when you are living in your passion it all seems so easy.

"He's doing it and making it look so simple" said Kim Collins, the 2003 world champ

Passion: Lolo Jones hits 9th hurdle to lose the race of her life

"Mom, I can't go to a city that doesn't have a track. I'm trying to pursue my dream"- Lolo

“I’ve been watching the Olympics since I was a little kid, and honestly, I would just like to inspire someone out there. Our sport has been thrown in the garbage the last couple of years, with drugs and the attitude of some athletes. I know I can reach somebody and I just want to do it in a positive way.”-Lolo

Lolo is no stranger to obstacles. During her childhood, Jones attended eight schools in eight years while her single mother held down two jobs to support her family. At one point in Lolo's childhood she and her family had to settle in the basement of the Des Moines church.

When her family was about to make another move, this time to Forest city, Iowa Lolo told her mother "Mom, I can't go to a city that doesn't have a track. I'm trying to pursue my dream." Lolo and her family parted ways, and she lived with four different families during her enrollment at Theodore Roosevelt High School in Des Moines

Yesterday in Beijing Lolo faced another wall that kept her from the dream that she has been fighting to keep alive her entire life. We will see a giant prevail, you can rest assured that she is no longer going to be robbed of what she has set out to do. Lolo has been blessed to have found her passion at such a young age and we do expect to see her dream inspire all those that have found and share the same passion.

Passion: What Direction Will She Take?

Shawn Johnson gets her Gold Medal on the Balance Beam Competition in the 2008 Olympic Games bringing the gymnastic competition to an end.

Johnson nailed her routine of difficult tricks, earning a 16.225. The world champion, who already had a silver behind fellow American Nastia Liukin in the all-around, and a silver on floor and in the team event, edged Liukin, who finished with a gold, three silvers and a bronze.

Johnson burst onto the scene in 2006, making her mark at the U.S. Nationals, where she won the junior title with a score that topped the entire women's field -- seniors included. Then an unknown coach, Liang made a gutsy move in 2005 when he submitted a videotape of Johnson's gymnastics to Martha Karolyi, the U.S. national team coordinator with a letter describing Shawn as "a gymnast who could help the U.S. team." Liang kept the letter a secret from Johnson, until one afternoon during the daily announcements when he told his entire team that Johnson had been invited to the Karolyi ranch, where the U.S. national team trains each month. "I was so proud of him," Johnson said. "[Going to the ranch] was something I really wanted, and he made it happen."

Congrats Shawn persistence makes the impossible possible, the possible likely and the likely definite.

We were checking out Shawn's bio and getting information on her we found that she loves to write poetry she is actually pretty good at it as well. Here is one of her pieces which goes well with her Gold Medal.

“Champion” Poem

You fear the loss and pain of defeat
But still are able to stand on two feet
You crumble and cry as much as you want
But nothing can keep you away from the hunt
This is what you’ve been working for
The pride and honor as you take to the floor
You remember the struggles and pain you had
When all the good had turned to bad
When behind the scenes you crumbled and prayed
For it all to simply just go away
The doubt and regrets of what you went through
Sometimes just made you want to give it to
The next girl in line that had gave it her all
But always seemed to carry a fall
You remember the times when you thought to give up
But could never find a reason to disrupt
Anything and everything that you had given to the sport
The hearts desire and all the support
But when the pressure builds and tears you apart
How are you able to not depart
How are you able to still carry a smile
When everything inside is in a pile
You hold your head high and never look back
Because this is what keeps you all intact
It’s what runs in your veins, and it’s the key to your heart
And it’s only the beginning, only the start
It holds a future that could never be told
One that can shine with the brightest of gold
The sky is its limits
And with the mood as its guide
As no one could ever predict how high
One could travel with the hard work put in
To truly become a champion
