Passion: Torres the oldest American olympian swimmer ever

41 year old mother proves that it is never to late to follow your passion.

The 41-year-old Torres, a five-time Olympian and the oldest American swimmer ever, also anchored the American women to a runner-up finish in the 400 medley relay. She got silver in all three of her races in Beijing, giving her 12 medals in a remarkable career that began at the 1984 Los Angeles Games—a year before Phelps was even born.

It is clear to us and the world that Dara Torres is living in her passion.

Michale Phelps "The Greatest Olympian Of All Time"

Even though this blog has been created to identify passion. We felt that this event is extra special in the fact that Michael Phelps has done the impossible. His journey was not an easy one, in fact twice during these olympics the world stared in aww while waiting for the final results.

Congrats Mr. Phelps on your accomplishments you have inspired many and dissapointed few.

Michael Phelps
won his record eighth gold medal Sunday at the Beijing Olympics as a member of the victorious U.S. 400-meter medley relay team, breaking a tie with Mark Spitz for most golds in a single games.

SuperMan AKA Michael Phelps

What Better way to represent your country then to deny everyone that competes against you an Olympic Gold. Michael Phelps has won his 7th olympic gold medal and is now tied to the only man that has done it before him Mike Spitz. The Question is can he do it one more time?

Phelps has become a household name, according to speedo he just got himself a million dollar deal for winning that race. If you did not see it, it was just as great of a race as the 4 x 100 relay, 25 meters left of the 100 meter butterfly and everyones thinking to themselves he's gonna have to settle for the Gold and all of the sudden Michael Phelps puts his cape on and flys into steal the Gold from swimmer Milorad Cavic but, then again do you think Cavic really thought he was stronger then Superman?

This will go down as one of the greatest olympics of all time. Great Job USA and Michael Phelps. Theres no need to identify his passion I already did on my last couple of post on him.

Passion: Mongolia Makes History

Tuvshinbayar Naidans wins first olympic gold for Mongolia. Celebration exploded above Ulan Bator as revelers sang the national anthem after traditional wrestler Tuvshinbayar Naidan’s judo win on Thursday. Beating Kazakhstan’s Askhat Zhitkeyev in the men’s 100-kilogram class.

“I can’t believe Mongolia just won a gold medal,” said Baljinnyam Dashdorj, 17, celebrating with relatives spanning three generations. “I can’t believe he did it. This is amazing. I’m so happy, I can only jump up and down!”

Mongolia has won several medals in current and previous Olympic Games but never a Gold Medal this is a great accomplishment for Naidan and his country. He has succeeded his dream and pursued it with his passion. With so much going on in the world today the Olympics seem to bring a since of peace. We will continue Identifying those Athletes that have accomplished great Dreams through their passion as well as others. Stay connected and identify your passion on www.trigeia.com

Passion: Gold and Silver, USA's Best Friend

Nastia Liukin won the 2008 Olympic Gold Medal in the All Around Gymnastic Competition, followed by her team mate Shawn Johnson who won Silver. China of course won a medal but not what they were hoping for. The USA did it, the first time in history that two Americans win Gold and Silver in the all around competition.

Nastia Liukin won this Gold for herself and her family. With Dads support she has accomplished a dream that she has had since she was four years old. Her passion for sport in gymnastics with her desire to win named her the Gymnastic Champion of the 2008 Beijing Games. The Olympics are such great events, it brings athletes together to compete to accomplish their dreams. Some of their dreams are to just get to the Olympics where other are to dominate or become a champion. God Bless everyone who take action towards their Dreams.

Passion: Will Not Fail Again

Alain Bernard showed the world last night that he has a little more in him then Jason Lezak and Eamon Sullivan.

Alain Bernard of France won the 100m freestyle, touching out world-record holder Eamon Sullivan of Australia by .09 of a second. Bernard had something to prove in this event after France lost the 4x100m free relay by a fingernail. Bernard dove in to swim the anchor leg with more than a half-second lead over the Americans but couldn't hold off Jason Lezak down the stretch and lost the race by .08 of a second.
"I only just lost a race where someone beat me to the wall, and I didn't want that to happen again," Bernard said.

Bernard emerged in 2007 as an elite sprinter when he clocked the second-fastest 100m free ever and had the fastest 50m free in the world for the year.

Passion: Bronze Medal Equals Loser?

Do you consider the Olympics to be fair for all athletes that compete? Take a look at the out come of what happened to the Swedish wrestler.

Swedish wrestler Ara Abrahamian during the medal ceremony took the bronze from around his neck and in disgust dropped it on the mat as he walked away. He was upset with the judges after his semifinal loss to Andrea Minguzzi who eventually went on to win the gold medal. "I don't care about this medal. I wanted gold. This will be my last match. I wanted to take gold, so I consider this Olympics a failure." Abrahamian had to be restrained from going after the matside officials following his loss to Minguzzi and storming away from the mixed zone where interviews are conducted, slammed a door to the dressing rooms so hard it shook an entire wall.

Ara Abrahamian (born July 25, 1975 in Gyumri, Armenia) is a Swedish wrestler, who has won two world championships and a silver and a bronze medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics and the 2008 Summer Olympics respectively

Michael Phelps won the men's 200-meter butterfly Wednesday and not even an hour later helped lift the U.S. 4x200m freestyle relay team to victory, becoming the winningest athlete in Olympic history, now with 11 gold medals and counting.

His dream of becoming an Olympic Champion started when he was only 11 years of age. With several races left in 2008 Olympics and destroying all world records in his previous races there is no doubt in our minds that he will continue his dominance. Passion: Who Said You Are To Old?

The buzz in the air was France was going to smash the Americans in the 4 x 100, man where they wrong. Jason Lezak a 32 year old swimmer showed the world that age is nothing but a number.

Jason Lezak gets tagged jumps into the pool as the last leg of the men's 4 x 100 free with the whole World saying the Americans should hold onto the silver medal, but Lezak had another plan. 25 meters left into his leg he puts it into 5th gear and showed the World that determination always dominates over age. This had to have been one of the greatest races we have ever seen. "I've been on the last two relays, where we came up short, and to be honest with you, I was tired of losing," Lezak said of bronze and silver relay medals for the U.S. team in the past two Olympics.

If you did not see the race last night do not wait any longer check out what we put together for the American Fan Club. We are sure that there will be a lot more outstanding performances by athletes in the next two weeks. However, for Lezak and the Olympics this will go down in history as one of the most exciting upsets in modern day sports.
