In high school she starred in the face of pain while enduring the weight of pressure and still hit the winning free throw to clinch the Alaska small-school basketball championship in 1982. It is no secret that Sara Palin has what it takes in the sports world having a basketball championship, second place in Miss Alaska pageant, Miss Congeniality award, Multiple 5k and 10k runs including marathons. She also enjoys hunting and many different out door activities. Even when she was Mayor she increased the city sales tax to pay for the new Wasilla Multi-Use Sports Complex.
